Garrett and his team are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and value to business owners. With a track record of over $200 million in completed Merger and acquisition and growth-related projects, Garrett brings a wealth of expertise to the table. His academic background, including a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University, a top 20 business school, further enhances his ability to provide valuable insights and solutions.

Garrett’s journey began with his MBA, leading him to the corporate Merger and acquisition arena where he led an acquisition team for a multi-billion internationally owned food company. Here, he gained a unique perspective, witnessing the common mistakes business owners make when selling to more experienced buyers. This experience inspired him to take the entrepreneurial route, founding Nexivus Business Advisors. His goal is to guide business owners through the complex business sale process, leveraging his insights to help them avoid costly mistakes in what could be the most important transaction of their lifetime.

Ray Hanson, MCBC, CMEA, SBA

Senior Advisor

Ray is a Master Certified Business Counselor, Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser, Senior Business Analyst, and a Business Valuator Accredited in Litigation. His experience includes over 35 years of business valuation, consulting and brokerage experience; marketing and transferring over 206 small-to-middle market businesses; and valuating hundreds of other businesses for both fee and marketing purposes. In his career Ray has consulted, valued, and transferred retail, service, distribution, and small manufacturing businesses ranging from food products to high tech. He has testified as an expert witness in business valuation and business brokerage.

In his entrepreneurial career, he has owned five businesses of which four were start-ups. He is the founding President of the Oregon Business Brokers Association, served on the Advisory Board of the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisition Advisors for 9 years, and is a Past President of the Institute of Certified Business Counselors. Ray has served on numerous boards, chambers, and associations.
